Happy New Year 2013!

Happy New Year 2013!

Yes, I know that I haven't been written much blog posts this past year 2012. Yet, I can't promise for this year either. Yet, I do want to write more and to encourage you all in every way too.

Mainly, I do want to encourage you all to live your life for Christ this year all the more which is very important goal too.

Have you started your Daily Bible Reading Plan yet? If not, I would encourage you all to start this with the Lord's help. You can't do this without His help. There are many Daily Bible Reading plan out there. I have been doing this for numbers of years, but I am planning to start a whole different Bible plan for this year, so that I can focus more in His Word instead just reading through it. My plan is to focus on the book of Romans which is one of my favorite books in the Bible. Just a bite size, I just did Romans 1:1-7, this morning and will focus more through out the day and this week too. There isn't any set scripture reading schedule per day like regular Daily Bible Reading plan or checklist plan, but it is to fully focus on it as I move along in His Word.

Last year, 2012, with the Lord's help, I have read 49 books a year which is more than I expected to read. My goal is that I do hope to read at least 36 books this year (3 books a month) with His help. The truth is that I mostly read theological books. This past summer, I did read number of fictions, and that is why I had read 49 books this year. I am on Goodreads online too. I am a slow reader too, and I prefer to dig and dig as I read through theological books. If I am reading fiction, I will speed read through that book with enjoyment.

This past summer, a wonderful friend blessed me with Kindle Touch. I am so thankful for this and love it and taken it with me everywhere I go.  It is a great investment to have and a great gift to give someone that loves to read all the time. I was able to download a lot of wonderful free e-books and almost nothing to the cost to buy some great e-books. If you are on a limit budget to buy books, I would encourage you all to get an Kindle to read, and you will be amazed how much you can save by owning your very own Kindle.

There are number of Kindle that you can get. As for me, I love my Kindle Touch and wouldn't trade that in for Kindle Paperwhite, or Kindle Fire, or whatever Kindle out there. I didn't want another computer screen to read books from. I love e-ink on Kindle Touch which came out before Paperwhite did. Later, I did compared my Kindle Touch with  Kindle Paperwhite. I prefer e-ink over Paperwhite. You will have to pick out whatever that will works the best for you. Please do go to Staples or whatever store that does carry Kindle or Nooks or other e-book reader and compare them before you buy them online through Amazon or somewhere else.

Please do subscribe to get Gospel e-books email. You can find a lot of free e-books or almost no cost e-books through Gospel e-books. FYI, I  just gotten one free e-book that is Abortion: A Rational Look at An Emotional Issue by R.C. Sproul which is special today only.

Does your church have a church's library? If not, you can help them to get that started. Talk to your pastor about this. Yes, I started Christ Baptist Church's Library in the beginning of 2012 from no book to 35 books as of right now, and more books are on the way too. I can't wait to get them when they do come.  No Library budget! No problem! That is not problem, and don't worry about that! We didn't have any library budget either. How can I get the books without a budget? Here is a great news, you can start entering the books giveaway contest like I did, and that is how I keep winning them. Today, I just won another one. If you follow me on Twitter or on Facebook, you can keep up with me whatever books giveaway contest out there that I have enter and enter them. We can't win every one of them, but we can at least win some of them. I haven't yet win any Tim Challies' Free Friday yet, but one of these days when I will win them, and I will shout from the roof top when I do win them. Yes, there are a lot of books giveaway contest out there, but there are some which is no-no to enter to win them. You will have to judge whether to enter the contest or not.  Yes, I would encourage you all to start a church's library. FYI, I used Library Thing online for Church Library to keep record what books that we do have. It is free up to 200 books then one time lifetime fee which is like $25 for lifetime I think or that might have changed since then.
