I had been so bless to study Humility: True Greatness by CJ Mahaney with one of my wonderful friend, Lisa who is in my wonderful church family. I am so thankful for this wonderful book studying together in person or by email back and forth when we had conflict for getting together.
What a wonderful book to read together. I would encourage you all to do the same thing. We all need to learn humility and to be more humble for Christ. I have learn a lot and still have a lot more to learn from this.
We all need to hold one another accountable daily.
Here is a wonderful comment on this wonderful book:
"Humility is our greatest friend and pride our greatest enemy."
In this book, there is so much for us to learn and read again. It isn't a book just to read just one time and be done with it for good. It is a book that is a must to read again and again as to remind ourselves how much we all need to be more humble for Christ. I am not that humble just because I just read the book for the second time.
Also, in this book teaches us that we do need others to point out our sins as our "cream cheese" in our life. Lost about "cream cheese", I would encourage you all to read this book, and that is in Chapter 10 -- Inviting and Pursuing Correction.
Let take a look at all the list of scriptures about Humility:
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6 ESV
Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5 ESV
But this is the one to whom I will look:
he who is humble and contrite in spirit
and trembles at my word. Isaiah 66:2b ESV
Also the whole book of Habakkuk too. First, he was confused and complaining. Second, God-Centered Prayer. Third, A Focus on Salvation, not Suffering. Forth, Waiting Quietly. Fifth, Humbly Rejoicing.
By this Habakkuk, we all need to look how do we response in our suffering. We should be like Habakkuk and not be confused and complaining. Man, if you know me very well, than you know that I am a chief complainer. I need to learn to be humbly rejoicing.
We all need to learn how to weaken pride and cultivate humility.
If you have seen my book or her book, then you will see a lot of underlined, starred, and highlighted. There is a lot of wonderful quotes by John Owen, John Calvin, John Stott, Jonathan Edwards, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, and many wonderful others.

It was a joy to read this book together! I think we were both tremendously challenged and I am so thankful to see the Lord's work of grace in your heart as you pursue humility. How awesome to have a Savior who is pleased to give us Himself and a community of believers to strengthen us!
