Merry Christmas Greeting or Happy Holiday Greeting?

As for me, I love Christmas within the true meaning of Christmas! We can't afford to let the Grinch to steal the true meaning of Christmas. We all need to put on the Whole Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-20 ESV) to stand firm against the spirit of Grinch out there. We all need to be Linus Van-Pelt to explain the true meaning of Christmas.

I am not into Happy Holiday greeting. I rather say Merry Christmas to everyone. To me, it is offensive if someone or Christian says Happy Holiday to me especially when they know me well! All of my greeting card, or e-card, or email will have Merry Christmas and His Word in them. I don't like getting greeting card, or e-card, or email with Happy Holidays greeting without His Word.

I am having a very hard time working at secular bookstore where the Grinch are at. I am in the "dog house" in a way when someone claimed that I didn't greet her. I am 'Guerite the Greeter. (My real nickname is 'Guerite which pronoun "Greet"). I always greet everyone. I don't know what had happened to that secret shopper which put me in the dog house.

I only reserve Merry Christmas greeting to those that I know that will not be offensive to them. I know most of my customers whether I can say it or not. They too know me.

If I don't know them, I would greet them differently in positive way such as "What a beautiful day!" and many uplifting greeting.

As I am reflecting my old job that I used to have. I had worked with a lot of Hindu people. One of the Hindu men was so happy and greeting everyone including his people, Merry Christmas so boldly like we ought to. I had to stop and to think about him to wonder more about how do they celebrate Christmas even though they do embraces another religion or gods.

I had witness to him with the tract in his language in Hindi. Then he had given the tract to his daughter after he had read it. Seed had been planted there. I do miss seeing him and other Hindu workers at the old job. I rather work with them than to work with the secular bookstore where the Grinch are at.

I would encourage you all to read the history in the 17th century when they couldn't celebrate Christmas for almost 20 years. Read No Christmas? It is a wonderful article to read.

Let us stand firm against the spirit of Grinch who stole the true meaning of Christmas. We all need to be Celebrating Him all year round.

I had added a poll on the left side of the blog. Please click on one of the following: Merry Christmas, or Happy Holiday, or No greeting but Be a Grinch!

Hungry to eat His Word,
