For the month of July, I am reading Proverbs in NKJV (New King James Version). It is very interesting to read a different translation. The last two months, I had been reading Proverbs in NASB'77 (New American Standard Bible in the original and not the updated).
Lord willing, next month, August, I will be reading Proverbs in ESV (English Standard Version).
I would encourage you all to do the same thing too. We all need to be eating His Word. I also need to eat more of His Word daily too.
I am still working on the Letter of James and using ESV and sometime using NKJV and NASB updated. I am finding the Letter of James a hard one to do the observation, interpretation and application. Also about Faith and Works, my mind tend to think about what Paul had wrote in his letters too. I am trying to hang in there as I am studying the Letter of James even though I am behind the schedule. I am almost finish with the second chapter.
I haven't finish reading Knowing God by J. I. Packer yet and almost finish reading that. I am reading way too many books at the same time. WHOA! I would love to have at least 6 months of paid vacation to catch up all the reading that I want to read and be able to do other things too.
Hungry to eat His Word!

6 Months vacation to read sounds amazing!! That's great that your reading a proverb a day, it's interesting to read the differant translations too...have a great week!
I do wish that I can get 6 months pay vacation to read all the books that I brought early this year and late last year.
Even though, I would be happy camper if I can get a week off from work that is a pay vacation. I just have to get away from home to read all the books.
Hungry to read and eat His Word!

'Guerite, I want to join the 6 months off club! That is a great idea. I am always behind on my reading.
James and Proverbs sound great. Keep telling us all about what you are learning. I especially love Proverbs 31:25...
