This picture was taken last summer and reminded me for this summer too!
Oh, how would I love to escape from the summer heat and go to colder place. Otherwise, I would be hibernating during the summer time here and be wide awake in the winter time.
This morning I got up early to cut the grass to beat the summer heat. I got up before 5:30 in the morning and started cutting grass for 1 and half hour. By the way, I am not finish cutting the grass. I do a little bit at a time. I was so hot and sweating. At least, it is a lot better than to cut the grass in the hot summer afternoon. Really! To tell you the truth, I didn't want to cut the grass because I knew it was going to be very hot day!
(I am a very hot nature!)
But, yesterday, I was reading Proverb 6:6-11 NASB
6 Go to the ant, O sluggard,
Observe her ways and be wise,
7 Which, having no chief,
Officer or ruler,
8 Prepares her food in the summer
And gathers her provision in the harvest.
9 How long will you lie down, O sluggard?
When will you arise from your sleep?
10 "A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to rest"--
11 Your poverty will come in like a vagabond
And your need like an armed man.
Please do pray for those who do have to work in the hot summer heat!

'Guerite, what do your neighbors think about you cutting the grass at 5:30 in the morning???

Hi! Lisa B,
You asked the same question that my oldest sister had asked me in the email.
As a matter of fact, I was told that they are a sound sleeper. I am thankful that they are a sound sleeper. They should be thankful that I am cutting the grass instead of never cut the grass.
I would love to get 3 pet goats to eat the grass. That would be nice to have.

'Guerite,
I think you're right -- cut grass is better than a jungle!! Jacob and Blondie would probably rather have grass than goats! But it would be nice to have live lawn mowers.
