More Books!

Yes, I did get some more books today.

I was able to get Humility: True Greatness by CJ Mahaney at CBCW's book table today.

After my birthday lunch, I went to the book store and got me two other books from my personal expense not the gift from my co-worker, see the blog: Books, Books, and Books! I got two Bibles after listening to my pastor, Justin's wonderful sermon on Psalm 1. He was encouraging us to get a new Bible. So therefore, I got me: The One Year Bible in ESV and another ESV Bible with the center column cross-reference that I had been waiting for. YEAH!

1:1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. 4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; 6 for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. Psalm 1:1-6 ESV

I never had The One Year Bible before, so I am going to give that a try and see how that work for me.

We all need to delight in the Law of the Lord and meditates day and night. We also need to delight in His Word as we eat them daily. Are we faithful in this? I am not that faithful like I ought to be.
