Books, Books, and Books!

I do want to thank the Lord for blessing me with books to read with His Word in each books! One of my co-worker had blessed me with a big check, so that I can buy books to read. I was so surprise and cry and hugged her. I don't deserve a gift like this. She knows that I love to read but didn't know what books to get for me. She said that I can use it for other things that is not just books. I did used it to buy books and not finish buying some more yet. I will post other books as I get each books.

With the cash, I was able to buy some books that is:
Here is the list of the books that I got on Sunday from CBCW's (Christ Baptist Church of Wilson) book table.
Knowing God by J.I. Packer (I couldn't find Daddy's copy of it, so I had to get me one.)
A Godward Life 120 Daily Reading by John Piper (I will start reading this on January 1st.)
God is the Gospel by John Piper
What Jesus Demands from the World by John Piper
The Hidden Smile of God by John Piper

I couldn't find Humility: True Greatness by CJ Mahaney on CBCW's book table which I do want to buy. I will wait until I see it there and buy it.

The other twos I got from LifeWay bookstore were:
St. Augustine ~ The Confessions of St. Augustine
The Case for Christ ~ Lee Strobel

I am hungry to eat His Word in each books!

I am currently reading The Pleasures of God by John Piper that I got from the Anonymous this summer. WOW! What a book to read, and I am learning a lot in that. I will have to write a blog or two about this one.

Just letting you know that I am not a fast reader, but I am eating the books with His Word in them. I do know that I will learn a lot from reading all of this books. I am looking forward to write a blog or two for each books.

Hungry to eat His Word!

'Guerite,

These are EXCELLENT books! You made really great choices. I can't wait to hear what you are learning. "The Pleasures of God" is one of my very favorites, so we'll have to talk about that soon! Books are always the best presents!

Love, Lisa
