Happy Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving!

We should all be thankful for Jesus who died on the cross for our sin. Without Him, we are nothing. I am so thankful for Him and His Word that I can eat (Jeremiah 15:16).

I am also so thankful for a wonderful body of believers in my wonderful church family, Christ Baptist Church of Wilson that does help each other and encourage each other to focus on Him Alone and eating His Word.

I am thankful for my wonderful pastor, Justin, who is hungry to eat His Word and preach His Word (2 Timothy 4:2). We all need a pastor that does preach the Word and eating His Word.

I am so thankful for Christian biography of the other Christian that is either living or had been dead for a long time. Reading their book does help me to put my trust in Christ Alone and see their joy in Him. It does encourage me to read about their faith in Him and their struggle to fight for the joy in Him. John Piper would recommend this for you to read the Christian biography (autobiography) of Jonathan Edwards, D L Moody, Martin Luther, John Calvin, and many wonderful men and women who fought for the joy of Him. (I am currently reading When I don’t desire God by John Piper. See my other post about this book.)

I am so thankful for this country that was founded to be a Christian nation, and we have the freedom of speech and religion.

There are so many to be thankful for! Christ Alone is the main thing that we are to be thankful for.

Of course, I am thankful for chocolate too! Do I need to plead guilty for that part?

I am thankful for our health.

I am thankful for my family and Mama and Daddy.

Another thing is to be thankful for is my ISP that is dial up which is better than nothing! Please do pray that I will be able to get DSL or roadrunner soon (sooner would be better than soon).

Thankful for a job in Raleigh although I do want to get a job in Wilson, so that I don't have to drive a long way to work. Having a job is a lot better than no job.

I am thankful for my furry children too!

Can you list something that you are thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving to you all,
