A Baptist Catechism Question 14

I am getting A Baptist Catechism from Desiring God website. I am trying to hang in there and to learn from this too.

Question 14: How did God create man?

Answer: God created man male and female, after his own image, in knowledge, righteousness, and holiness, with dominion over the creatures.

Scripture: Genesis 1:27-28; Colossians 3:10; Ephesians 4:24. (I will be posting it below, so that you don't have to go to the link. All the link will be English Standard Version "ESV".)

Comment: In saying that we were created after his image "in knowledge, righteousness and holiness," we do not mean we know all God knows, nor that we are a fountain of righteousness and holiness the way he is. We mean that we were capable of sharing his knowledge and righteousness and holiness in a relationship of trust and love unlike any other creature under the angels.

27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:27-28 ESV

10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Colossians 3:10 ESV

24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:24 ESV
