A Baptist Catechism Question 12

I am a bit behind on this at the moment and trying to do a lot of things at the same time which is OUCH! I am trying to hang in there and to meditate on them instead of memorizing them. It is a lot to memorize them but a lot better to meditate them.

I am getting A Baptist Catechism from Desiring God website. I am trying to hang in there and to learn from this too.

Question 12: How does God execute his decrees?

Answer: God executes his decrees in the works of creation and providence.

Comment: Instead of "execute" you can say "perform" or "accomplish" or "bring about". The word "providence" will be taken up in a later question. For now it refers to the way God preserves and governs all his creatures and all their actions (like the fall of a bird or the election of a president). It refers to God's general rule over the world he has created.
