I am a die-hard UNC-Carolina Fan. Why? That is because that is where my wonderful lovely parent met each other during the Valentine's Ball Dance at the Kenan Dorm in 1949. Also they got married a few feet from where they first met each other on June 22nd, 1952. I am so thankful that they had met each other there. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here.
I found its to be interesting to think about the name of the team mascot, and how I think about them in biblical way.
UNC-Carolina is Rams. I think about how Abraham was going to sacrifice Issac, but the Lord stop him and gave him the rams for the sacrifice.

NCSU is Wolfpack. I do pull for Wolfpack just as long they aren't playing against UNC-Carolina.
Here is the bad side of the wolf:

But on the other hand, here is the good side of the wolf:

Wake Forest is Deacon Demons. OUCH! I don't want to play with the Demons. If they change the name to Deacon Warriors, and I would pull for them. But never for Demons.
Duke is the Blue Devil. Who want to be on the team with the Blue Devil? They are bad bad guy. Please don't play with the devil. Please turn your life to Christ Alone.

Guerite, I'm disappointed....everyone knows the greatest college team in our state (as long as we're ONLY talking about football) is the East Carolina University Pirates!!! Check them out....we're ranked in the top 25 football teams in the nation this year! ECU..ECU..ECU! I hope you're doing well Guerite. You have an interesting Blog. I had to figure out which Daniel Johnson is this one. Now, I know you are my nephew-in-law.
By the way, I only listed the ACC team on it. And also I didn't mention football. Don't forget that we, Carolina had won the Final Four some years ago and almost won that this year.
By the way, only one from our family graduated from ECU but most of them quit. Same thing with State. Four of our family graduated from UNC-Carolina and one is going to graduated from UNC-Carolina soon. Two of them have Master degree at UNC. One of the four graduated from UNC-Carolina twice.
