Rooster and I slept through the bad wind storm, but Anselm didn't sleep through the bad wind storm. I didn't know that we had a very bad wind storm. I was very concern for Anselm because I couldn't find her. Then later I put on my hearing aids so that I could call my wonderful friends to let them know that I can't find Anselm. I left a message on their answering machine. I was in my living room / den, and I realized that I didn't look under the overstuffed chair that I was sitting on. I found her, and she was so scary and afraid. I picked her up and took her to her feed area that is near the door. She got so upset. I didn't understand what had happened. I put her in my bedroom and close the door. When I took Rooster out for the day, I found out what was the problem. The storm door got torn and banging back and forth. Anselm didn't like that noise, so she took refuge under the overstuffed chair far away from that banging storm door.
I was thinking about this and refuge. Who do we go to for refuge? Where do we go for refuge? Anselm went under the overstuffed chair and felt secure and safe. That was her refuge.
